Description
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide (Lys-Pro-Val) of alpha-MSH — the smallest fragment retaining the parent hormone’s anti-inflammatory signal, without its pigmentary activity.
Published models focus on NF-κB pathway suppression, colitis and gut-barrier studies (including oral delivery work), and skin-inflammation models, making it a compact probe of melanocortin anti-inflammatory biology.
