Description
PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a cyclic melanocortin peptide acting primarily at the MC4 receptor, developed from the Melanotan II scaffold.
It is the defining research tool for central melanocortin involvement in sexual function — a pathway distinct from vascular mechanisms — and holds drug approval elsewhere, giving the research community a well-documented MC4R reference agonist.
