Description
Liraglutide is an acylated GLP-1 analogue and the compound that established the class: its fatty-acid side chain pioneered the albumin-binding strategy later used across incretin drugs.
In research it is the classical reference GLP-1 agonist, with an enormous literature spanning beta-cell biology, appetite circuits and cardiovascular models.
