Description
ACE-031 is a soluble fusion of the activin type IIB receptor with an antibody Fc domain — a decoy receptor that circulates and sequesters myostatin and related ligands before they reach muscle.
Research interest lies in muscle-mass regulation: by intercepting negative regulators of muscle growth, the molecule became a key tool in studies of muscular dystrophy models and myostatin-pathway biology, including early clinical investigation that was later discontinued.
