Description
SNAP-8 (acetyl octapeptide-3) is an eight-residue mimic of the SNAP-25 protein’s N-terminal, designed to compete within the SNARE complex that drives neurotransmitter vesicle release.
Cell-model studies examine reduced acetylcholine release — a biochemical, non-toxin route to the muscle-relaxation biology otherwise studied with botulinum toxin — making it a fixture of cosmetic-mechanism research.
