Description
Semax is a heptapeptide built from the ACTH(4–7) fragment plus a Pro-Gly-Pro tail, developed in Russian research institutes as a non-hormonal neuropeptide.
The published literature — much of it Russian-language — examines BDNF expression, neuroprotection after ischemic injury, and attention and memory endpoints in animal models. It is a staple compound in neuroplasticity-focused peptide research.
