How to Vet a Research Peptide Supplier

This industry has real quality variation and little external oversight, which puts verification on the buyer. Here is a checklist — written knowing it invites you to apply the same tests to us.

1. Are certificates per-lot, and retrievable by you?

The question is not whether a vendor has COAs but whether you can look up the report for the exact vial you received. A single sample report on a website tells you nothing about your batch.

2. Is testing independent?

In-house testing is not worthless, but a third-party laboratory has no commercial interest in the outcome. Check whether the report names the testing lab.

3. Does the report include mass spectrometry?

Purity without identity is half a report. See our explainer on what purity figures actually mean.

4. How does the vendor describe its products?

Diagnostic. A supplier operating within the research-chemical framework describes compounds by what the literature investigates. One making human-benefit claims, publishing testimonials describing personal use, or offering dosing guidance for people has stepped outside that framework — which says something about their judgement generally.

5. Are storage and shipping described accurately?

Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperature in transit; that is why freeze-drying exists. A vendor promising elaborate cold-chain shipping for dry vials is either overspending or overstating.

6. Is payment handling sane?

Card processors restrict this category, so bank transfer and cryptocurrency are normal. Not normal: pressure toward channels with no record, or reluctance to issue an order number.

7. What happens when something is wrong?

Ask the policy for a damaged shipment, or a lot failing independent verification. A supplier confident in its material states a remedy plainly.

Apply all seven to us. Our COA lookup, shipping policy and research-use policy exist so the answers are checkable rather than asserted.
