Description
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide ghrelin-receptor agonist of the GHRP family, distinguished by an additional binding site: the scavenger receptor CD36 on cardiac tissue.
That dual binding gives it two research identities — a potent GH secretagogue in axis studies, and a cardioprotection probe in ischemia models where CD36 engagement is the point of interest.
